Creating a Fundraising Video for Meals on Wheels

I recently had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite clients again — Coal Creek Meals on Wheels, based in East Boulder County, Colorado. This is the sixth video I’ve created for them, and every time I collaborate with their team, I’m reminded of just how special this organization is.

For those of you unfamiliar, Coal Creek Meals on Wheels is unique in the world of meal delivery. Unlike most chapters that serve pre-prepared meals, they make all their food from scratch, and it’s often praised for its quality. I’ve seen firsthand how this thoughtful touch makes such a huge difference in the lives of their clients, and that’s part of why I love telling their story.

A New Focus: Overview with a Touching Story

In past years, the videos I’ve created have focused on specific aspects of the organization’s services — whether it’s their volunteer efforts, meal preparation, or the stories of clients whose lives have been changed by their deliveries. But this year, the team wanted to go with a broader overview of everything they do.

Even though we were aiming for an overview, we still wanted to keep it personal. So, we included a touching story about one of their clients who is on dialysis. This story provided that emotional connection that really shows the impact Meals on Wheels has on the lives of those who depend on their services. It’s this kind of storytelling that moves viewers and really helps donors feel connected to the cause.

Why I Love Working with Coal Creek Meals on Wheels

Honestly, working with Coal Creek Meals on Wheels has been a highlight of my career. The leadership is not only incredibly kind and friendly, but they also truly understand the value of high-quality video production. They see firsthand how investing in professional videos can inspire donors, move them emotionally, and ultimately help the organization continue its important work. That level of trust and understanding from a client is a dream come true for any filmmaker or video production specialist.

What really motivates me is knowing that these videos play a role in helping them increase donations, which means more people in need can receive fresh, homemade meals. It’s amazing to be part of something so meaningful.

Looking Forward

If you’re ever in the East Boulder County area, I encourage you to learn more about Coal Creek Meals on Wheels. They’re doing incredible work, and I’m honored to continue being part of their mission through my video production. If you’re looking for a team that can bring stories to life in a way that inspires action and creates connection, I’d love to help. Whether it’s through photography or video, I’m all about capturing those moments that make a difference.

Thanks for taking the time to read about one of my favorite projects!
